What is MPS Therapy? (Microcurrent Point Stimulation)

Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) Therapy is the world’s FIRST integrative therapy developed exclusively to sympathetically DE-Regulate the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and fight chronic pain. Direct current (DC) Micro-current Point Stimulation (MPS) is where low-amplitude electric current (80 μA to <1mA) is applied to certain pressure points for reducing chronic musculoskeletal pain.

MPS Therapy works to modulate the human bio cellular communication (internal body processes) which regulates the ANS and offers wide therapeutic advantages by releasing endorphins through stimulation of the pituitary gland. Recently conducted studies have reported significant (68%) pain relief immediately after the application of MPS therapy and a further 35% relief in the subsequent 48 hours.

MPS Therapy has been a remarkable success in the fight against chronic pain. The results are so impressive using this approach that complete or substantial relief (60-85%+) from pain often occurs within 1-3 applications. MPS is used for a large number of conditions including symptomatic head and neck pain, osteoarthritis, bursitis, synovitis, myositis, myalgia, neuralgia, decubitus ulcer, cholecystitis, hemiplegia, multiple sclerosis, phantom limb syndrome, lymphedema, cancer, scars, and many other conditions. Post-operative abdominal scars produce adhesions in the abdominal tissues, resulting in chronic pain. Similarly, a cesarean section (c-section) produces a scar in the lower abdomen which may cause chronic pain. In this regard, studies have reported MPS therapy as a valid micro-current therapy when applied to c-section scars in terms of reduction in chronic post-operative pain.

How Does it Work?

The MPS device locates and applies concentrated DC microcurrent to therapeutically active points (acupuncture & trigger) for the purpose of relaxing muscles, calming the nervous system, and releasing endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. The device is engineered to detect and treat these active points with great scientific precision & potency, providing stimulation of all three systems at once — nervous, muscular, and endocrine.

Most patients require 2-10 treatments for lasting outcomes. Some chronic patients require ongoing daily or bi-weekly applications. MPS protocols may be quickly individualized to any patient’s needs and applied within 3-20 minutes. MPS Therapy is reported to be significantly more effective than many other therapies offered on the marketplace. This therapy often provides the only “breakthrough” many pain patients have ever experienced.
